About
The increasing involvement of women in politics is a significant progression towards achieving equitable representation in governance. Yet, the journey to political leadership is often fraught with unique challenges. Recognizing this, we have designed a developmental programme aimed at supporting and nurturing women in politics.
The programme, supported by Women Entrepreneurs Network Association (WENA), has a big purpose, to empower and uplift women in politics. It aims to address the barriers and obstacles that women face in their political careers, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and support to overcome these challenges.
Through this programme, women in politics will have access to a wide range of opportunities for growth and development. They will receive mentorship from experienced politicians and leaders, participate in training workshops on various aspects of political leadership, and engage in networking events to build connections within the political sphere.
Furthermore, the programme will focus on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for women in politics. It will encourage collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the formation of alliances among women leaders, creating a strong network of support that will amplify their voices and influence.
All programme stakeholders are aligned in aiming to contribute to the advancement of gender equality in politics. It recognizes the importance of diverse perspectives and experiences in decision-making processes, and understands that empowering women in politics is crucial for achieving a more inclusive and representative governance.
